1. Acceptance and scope
By accessing or using a website, application, or service operated by ScanOne Solutions, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you use a service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
A written customer, partner, pilot, or order agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms. Venue rules, biometric notices, consent forms, privacy notices, and third-party provider terms may also apply to a specific experience.
2. The services
ScanOne Solutions provides identity-aware physical access, occupancy and engagement tools, integration services, and SecureOne account and consent functionality. Capabilities vary by deployment, jurisdiction, connected provider, customer configuration, equipment, and service plan.
Access decisions may incorporate credentials, current entitlements, enrollment status, consent, liveness checks, local policy, and human review. A successful identity verification does not by itself guarantee admission, eligibility, payment, safety, or compliance with venue rules.
3. Accounts and authorized use
You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly report suspected compromise. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. Organizational functions are available only to authorized members with sufficient administrative privileges.
You may use the services only for lawful, authorized purposes and in accordance with applicable notices, policies, agreements, and technical documentation.
4. Identity and biometric features
Biometric participation is not established by accepting these general terms. Before a covered biometric feature is used, the applicable experience must provide a separate notice and obtain the consent or written release required by law. Where required or promised, an accessible non-biometric alternative will be available.
You may not enroll another person, upload another person's biometric information, impersonate anyone, defeat liveness controls, or use ScanOne to create an unauthorized watchlist or conduct undisclosed surveillance.
5. Connected services
You may authorize SecureOne to connect to third-party services such as ticketing systems, mailbox providers, wallets, membership platforms, or access systems. You authorize ScanOne Solutions to access and process the connected information only to provide the features you select, subject to the permissions granted by you or an authorized organization.
Third-party services remain responsible for their own accounts, content, availability, barcodes, credentials, transactions, and policies. ScanOne Solutions does not control and is not responsible for changes made by a third-party provider. You may disconnect a supported connection, but doing so may disable related features.
6. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- access an account, site, system, or area without authorization;
- copy, transfer, replay, forge, or misuse a credential, ticket, identity assertion, or access decision;
- probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls except through an authorized security-testing program;
- collect, identify, or track people in violation of law, notice, consent, or organizational policy;
- use the services to discriminate unlawfully or make prohibited high-impact decisions;
- introduce malicious code or use automated means that impair the services; or
- use the services in a manner that violates intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
7. Customer and site responsibilities
Organizations deploying ScanOne are responsible for lawful authority, clear notice, appropriate consent, site safety, staffed exception paths, role assignments, retention choices, connected-system accuracy, and compliance with laws applicable to their use. Organizations must not configure a deployment to conceal biometric processing or remove a required alternative method.
8. Ownership and feedback
ScanOne Solutions and its licensors retain all rights in the services, software, designs, documentation, trademarks, and related technology. These terms provide a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the services as made available; they do not transfer ownership.
If you provide suggestions or feedback, you permit us to use them without restriction or compensation, provided we do not identify you publicly as the source without permission.
9. Availability and changes
We may maintain, improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue features. Some services may be identified as preview, pilot, beta, or evaluation features and may be changed or withdrawn. We do not promise that every feature or connected provider will be continuously available.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available.” ScanOne Solutions disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or that an access decision will eliminate fraud, security incidents, or human error. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScanOne Solutions and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from the services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the services and disconnect supported integrations at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect people or systems, investigate misuse, comply with law, address nonpayment under a customer agreement, or prevent material harm. Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
13. Changes and contact
We may revise these terms as the services and legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted with an updated effective date, and we will provide additional notice when required. Questions may be sent to info@scanonesolutions.com.
